What changed in each release. Updates arrive through Google Play.

Version 3.17

  • Faster, more reliable startup: fixed a crash on launch and several app-not-responding reports on first open and widget refresh.
  • App list: new “Copy app list” export as plain text with Play Store links.
  • History: changelogs are now labelled with the version they belong to.
  • Purchase screen: lifetime, prepaid and installment options grouped under More offers.
  • Bug fixes.

Version 3.16

  • Unarchive: batch restore through App Info on Pixel devices, and through the Play Store one app at a time elsewhere. AppDash learns which method works on your device.
  • Freeze: archived apps that were not restored stay selected after unfreezing.
  • The in-app review prompt no longer interrupts dialogs.

Version 3.15

  • Permission changes: AppDash now tracks the permissions each app declares across updates. New and removed permissions appear in a Changes list on the Permissions screen and on Explore, labelled with the version.
  • App archiving on Android 15 and newer: archive from the app list, batch actions and app detail; Archived filter chip and badge; unarchive restores from an AppDash backup when one exists.
  • WebDAV: self-signed certificates are supported with trust on first use.
  • Backups: a failed upload is no longer reported as a success, and mixed results are shown clearly.
  • Purchase screen: added prepaid and installment plans.
  • Freeze tab: fixed the spinner on cold open, added method icons and last-used labels, and stopped listing never-launched apps as stopped.
  • Explore: customize screen drops stale cards from the saved layout.

Version 3.14

  • New backup destinations: Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, SFTP (password or private key), WebDAV, and S3-compatible storage including AWS S3, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi and MinIO.
  • Google Drive backups rebuilt on the new provider framework, with far fewer API calls and faster listing.
  • SD cards and USB drives are detected as they are mounted and shown by volume name instead of UUID.
  • Redesigned backup locations list with per-service icons and a compact layout.
  • Watchlist search: filter by target SDK compatibility with your device.
  • Fixed sync from non-SMB remote locations and stale lists on account switch.
  • Translations: 47 strings added or updated across all 22 locales.
  • Stability: fixed several crashes and startup freezes.

  • Backup and restore reworked: more reliable execution, cancellation and progress notifications, and fixes for data-loss bugs in backup and restore flows.
  • Google Drive integrity fixes; SMB robustness and root/Shizuku hardening.
  • A loading screen is shown while a changed backup location loads.
  • Fixed a startup freeze and a crash in the Notes summary.
  • Premium access is no longer lost during transient Google Play outages.

Version 3.08

  • Redesigned multi-select: actions now live in a labelled bar at the bottom of the screen, across the app list, backups, tags, notes, watchlist, and the running, large and unused app views.
  • Notes summary: filter by tag.
  • Purchase proof is kept across reinstalls and device moves.
  • Shizuku cache wipe is hidden where Android 15 no longer supports it.

Version 3.07

  • New per-app Privacy screen with data-type cards and a Components card, replacing the privacy-policy button in app details.
  • Similar Apps screen reachable from app details.
  • Share from the history sheet; tag chips shown in backup details.
  • Fixed split-APK installs failing on Android 14 and newer, and out-of-memory errors on large split APKs.
  • After the preview ends, the Apps tab stays usable while other tabs are gated.
  • Fixed many crashes and app-not-responding reports in widgets, usage, installs and dialogs.
