FAQ

Quick answers about pricing, how AppDash works, and what it's for.

Pricing & preview

Is AppDash free?
Installing AppDash is free and includes a 7-day full-access preview. After the preview, you can choose a subscription or a one-time purchase to keep using it.
When does the free preview start?
The 7-day preview begins when you install AppDash, not when you first open it. If you plan to evaluate it, it's best to open the app soon after installing.
Subscription or one-time purchase — which should I pick?
Pick what fits how you prefer to pay. Monthly or annual subscriptions spread the cost over time; the one-time purchase unlocks AppDash in a single payment. Pricing varies by country and is shown inside AppDash.
How much does AppDash cost?
Pricing varies by country and is shown inside AppDash in your local currency. Available options include monthly and annual subscriptions, or one-time purchase.
Does my purchase work on my other devices?
Yes, as long as you use the same Google account. On a new device, install AppDash and use "Restore purchase" if needed. Google Play licensing can sometimes take a little time to sync. In this case, wipe Google Play Store data and reboot.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open AppDash, go to Settings, and use the "Restore purchase" option. This contacts Google Play to re-verify your license. Make sure you're signed in to the same Google account you used to purchase.
Why does it say "early access"?
AppDash is still evolving, with new features and refinements added over time. The app is fully usable today, and your purchase continues to apply as it grows.

About AppDash

What is AppDash?
AppDash is an advanced app manager for Android. It helps you organize, inspect, back up, search, and track apps from one place. It combines everyday app management tools with deeper visibility into storage, usage, permissions, history, and app details.
Is AppDash just a backup app?
No. Backup is one important part of AppDash, but the app is much broader than that. AppDash is designed to help you organize your apps, understand what they are doing, and take action when needed. That includes tags, notes, search, filters, usage analytics, permissions, history, watchlist features, APK tools, and deep app inspection.
Can I use AppDash without root or Shizuku?
Yes. AppDash is designed to be useful on standard Android devices. Root and Shizuku unlock additional advanced actions, while core features work without them.
Can AppDash manage system apps?
Yes. System apps appear alongside user apps and can be inspected. With root or Shizuku, they can also be disabled.
What can AppDash back up?
AppDash can back up APK files, and data on rooted devices. Backups can be stored on local storage, Google Drive, or SMB network shares, and can be synced between locations.
Can I restore backups?
Yes. AppDash is designed to make it easier to restore backed-up apps and manage versioned backups.
Can I export or back up my tags and notes?
Yes. AppDash can save and restore your settings, including tags and notes, so you don't lose your setup when you switch devices or reinstall.
What are tags used for?
Tags let you organize apps in a way that makes sense to you. You can create custom groups like Work, Travel, Banking, Games, Shopping, or anything else, then browse and act on those groups more easily.
What is auto-tagging?
Auto-tagging assigns category tags to your installed apps automatically — Productivity, Tools, Communication, and so on — so you start with a useful organization scheme without having to tag every app by hand. You can edit, replace, or ignore the auto-tags however you like.
What kind of app details can AppDash show?
AppDash can show much more than the standard Android app info screen, including install and update history, usage information, storage details, permissions, developer grouping, and deeper technical information for many apps.
Can AppDash help me find apps I no longer use?
Yes. AppDash includes views and insights that help you identify unused apps, large apps, recently updated apps, and other categories that are useful when cleaning up a phone.
What is the watchlist feature?
Watchlist lets you keep track of apps you care about, including apps that are not currently installed. Depending on the available data, AppDash can help surface things like price drops, sales, updates, apps becoming free, and other changes.
Does AppDash search the Play Store?
Yes. AppDash includes Play Store search features with filters, helping you discover apps and add them to your watchlist more easily.
What home-screen widgets are available?
AppDash includes home-screen widgets for new and updated apps, screen time, available updates, tag groups, and a recent-apps carousel. Each widget pulls live information from inside AppDash so you can see what's worth your attention without opening the app.
Will AppDash send me notifications?
Yes — primarily for watchlist activity, like price drops, sales, free promos, and updates for the apps you're tracking. Notifications are configurable, so you can mute or fine-tune them in settings.
Is AppDash only for power users?
No. Power users will appreciate the depth, but AppDash is also valuable for ordinary Android users who want a better way to manage clutter, monitor apps, keep backups, and understand what is on their device.
Does AppDash collect personal data?
AppDash has no ads and no tracking. If you enable Enhanced App Info, your installed-app list is sent to our servers — but it isn't saved, isn't linked to you, and is only used to update the aggregated catalog of all apps. With the option off, nothing is collected. See the App Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I turn off Enhanced App Info?
Yes. The Enhanced App Info setting disables every feature that talks to AppDash's API server. With it off, no installed-app metadata leaves your device, and related enrichment features — changelogs, ratings, sale tracking, developer info — won't be active.
Is AppDash available for iPhone or desktop?
No. AppDash is built for Android.
What Android versions does AppDash support?
AppDash requires Android 8.1 or newer.
What languages does AppDash support?
AppDash is translated into 23 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
How do I get AppDash?
AppDash is available on Google Play.
